KingFisher Clouser- Black Wolf
My #1 Golden Dorado fly! All black profile that is incredibly effective for Golden Dorado or on cloudy days for Peacocks. The Black Wolf is a must!
A weighted version of my OG KingFisher, the KingFisher Clouser is 6.5 inches long, with minimal flash and weighted with XL nickel eyes. The smaller size, less materials and weighted head give this fly a smaller profile but gives depth and/or more of a jig action when fishing in swifter currents or deeper lagoons. The KingFisher Clouser is ultimately more focused on Golden Dorado but still very effective for Peacock Bass or any number of jungle species.
Tied with a 5/0 Gamakatsu B10S hook. At 6.5 inches long, the tail is easily trimmed if you want to shorten 1-2 inches.
